Program Notes:
A rhythmically driven work for digital playback & saxophone quartet, “Amalgamation” derives all of itʼs electronic sounds from pre-recorded samples made by the Red Line Saxophone Quartet. The result is a live performance revealing virtual and acoustic sounds simultaneously.
“Amalgamation” was commissioned and premiered by the Red Line Sax Quartet for a showcase titled “poweRED Line” hosted by MATA and Curated by Baljinder Sekhon at the ISSUE Project Room in Brooklyn, NY.
